Following the completetion of the Antarctic King Sejong Station, Korea built the second Antarctic Station called Jang Bogo Station in 2014. This station is located on the coast of Terra Nova Bay in Northen Victoria Land providing better access to the center of the Antarctic continent.

The center and coast of Antarctica has become more easily assessible by the Antarctic Jang Bogo Station, further enabling research and collection of various data regarding climate change, topography and geography surveys, upper atmosphere and space science research
